RSNS High Holiday Family Pass 5783


You and your family are invited to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with our warm, vibrant, progressive Jewish community with song, poetry, stories and sounding of the shofar!

Your free High Holidays Family Pass allows you and your family to attend any or all of the services and programming listed below. They are all in-person and on zoom. All programs take place indoors, but there will be outdoor tented seating with live, closed circuit television viewing available for those who would prefer additional space and ventilation. Zoom link will be provided to all who register.

RSNS High Holiday Experiences Available with Family Pass


                               ROSH HASHANAH

Erev Rosh HaShana             Sunday, September 25
8:00 p.m.        Adult Evening services (open to non-members) 

Rosh HaShana Day 1           Monday, September 26
1:00 p.m.        Family services for children ages 0-5 years accompanied by an adult.

2:00 p.m.        Family services for families with children ages 6-12, accompanied by an adult.  Adults without children are also welcome.

3:30 p.m.        Tashlik - A family (and dog!) friendly outdoor experience.  Across from Baxter Pond in Port Washington [behind Dolphin Books]

Rosh HaShana Day 2           Tuesday, September 27
9:45 a.m.         Day 2 Adult Services, open to non-members 

11:15 a.m.       Family programming: A series of family-friendly New Year's experiences featuring art, stories, social action and more with separate programming for children ages 2-7 and 8-11. All children must be accompanied by adults. 

                                 YOM KIPPUR

Yom Kippur                            Wednesday, October 5
12:30-1:30 p.m.  Adult supplemental programming, exploring High Holiday themes through a discussion of works of art with our Director of Congregational Education, Rebecca Hirschwerk.

1:00 p.m.        Family services for children ages 0-5 years accompanied by an adult.

2:00 p.m.        Family services for families with children ages 6-12, accompanied by adults. Adults without children are also welcome.

3:30-4:30 p.m. Restorative Yoga with Rabbi Jodie: Yom Kippur challenges us to become “at-one” as we “atone.” Through physical, mental and emotional relaxation we hope to have a healthy and recuperative experience as we usher in the new year.  You may join Rabbi Jodie “dressed for services” or in yoga attire. There will be chairs for those who do not wish to sit on the floor.

4:45 p.m.       Concluding Adult Service, open to non-members. This service will include: A brief Torah reading, a family d’var tor on Jonah, a social action oriented “Martyrology,” YizkorNe’ila, and havdala with children.


If you are attending our services in person at RSNSplease be prepared to show ID at the door.  Current CDC / Covid-19 guidelines will be followed at the time of each service. Your cooperation, understanding and assistance is greatly appreciated. Currently, vaccination and masking are not required, but are warmly encouraged.
